THE NEW ZEALAND LISTENER

THE NEW ZEALAND DICTIONARY CENTRE
The New Zealand Dictionary Centre is a proud supporter of the New Zealand Vegemite Spelling Bee. The New Zealand Dictionary Centre was established in July 1997 by Victoria University of Wellington and Oxford University Press with the purposes of:
• maintaining and developing a database of New Zealand English vocabulary
• conducting research on various aspects of language in New Zealand
• compiling and publishing dictionaries and related educational materials.
It aims to provide a focal point nationally and internationally for New Zealand lexicography.
